It's a challenge for Australia to break new ground.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and once went nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the peak baggers, are what's still available for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

Certain people claim the case for final game tension. Some might respond with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was far harder to see coming.

Over the past five days a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this victory succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.
